Wasting time or Spending it Wisely |

Like all ideas this one is taking a bit longer than I had planned it in my mind. The devil is really in the details. Don't let this worry anyone, all the work that I do on every project compounds into a better product in the end. What I am talking about is the JP core. Much of the work for any Joomla project isn't installing the components, modules, and mambots, but researching, configuring, and troubleshooting. If you haven't caught on yet, Joomla Packages does all this for you, research, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. All you need to be concerned with is adding your content. This is supposed to be a blog, so I'm going to cut down the sales text and suggest only that you consider on of our packages, they will save you time, and in the end money! While the package idea is a good one, it takes time to produce! I had it in my mind to complete the core package in a week, which seemed reasonable, but I keep falling into tangents evaluating cool new components (this is my favorite part of Joomla) and then I've wasted an hour. I'm trying to rationalize and reaquire those hours lost by convincing myself that one day that component or bot that stole that hour from me will be useful to myself or my customers in the future. Whether true or not, adding the flesh to this idea really makes it heavier, but I know that in the end saving my customers time by spending large doses of my own time is the business that I am in. I just hope that I didn't waste all these weeks for nothing.
